About the Event

King’s College London Economics and Finance Society is delighted to host Jacob Nell, former European Head of Economics at Morgan Stanley, in collaboration with KCL Politics Society and KCL United Nations Association. 

Jacob boasts considerable global expertise across both the public and private sectors. Before spending 11 years as an Economist at Morgan Stanley, Jacob had a 10 year tenure in the UK Treasury department that included assignments at the ministries of finance in Russia, Iraq and Azerbaijan as well as being a Policy Advisor for the UK PM. Having recently departed from Morgan Stanley, Jacob is now working for the Kyiv School of Economics, analysing the conflict in Ukraine from an economic perspective, while investigating the impact and effectiveness of Russian sanctions. In this talk, Jacob will speak on his extensive research into the economic and political implications of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, including the impact on us as individuals, as well as what it means for the future of international relations.
